ELC Mens Clothing – 100 Days and Alexander McQueen Tees

ELC Mens Clothing

ELC Mens Clothing

ELC Mens clothing released their first 100 days run back in Feb. They’ve hit the market strong with a nice mix of goodness. Fashion and functionality with story and character. Each garment is constructed to the highest standards of quality, individually numbered and packed and shipped in hand crafted packaging.

I happened upon this line by meeting one of its creators. My tattoo artist, Fish, working out of Th’ink Tank Tattoo in Denver. Insane tattoo artist and good man. He knows whats up when it comes to style and has definitely sparked the fashion bug in me.

The clothing line is legit. Really high quality construction and material. I got to check out the Cody Denim Jacket. Its a jacket that you buy once and wear it for the rest of your life, tough as nails. A little description from the site lives up to itself:

CODY DENIM JACKET

SLIM FIT FLANNEL LINED JACKET MADE FROM 13OZ RIGID NORTH CAROLINA DENIM & LINED IN SUPER SOFT COTTON FLANNEL FROM PORTUGAL. DESIGNED WITH A MOTO-STYLE WAISTBAND & ELC MENS HALLMARK BUTTON BACK COLLAR. EACH INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED JACKET COMES SHIPPED COMPLETE WITH A VINTAGE POCKET KNIFE AND A HAND TREATED COTTON STORAGE BAG.

If I didn’t want to keep dishing out cash for tattoos and supporting a little family I’d be all over this stuff. Priorities:) haha.

Another thing I want to mention is their Alexander McQueen Tee that they just released.  Heres a photo and description from their site. Jump over there to buy one. Its for a great cause.

February 2010 marks the tragic and untimely passing of Lee Alexander McQueen. McQueen pushed the boundaries of fashion and forced us to re-examine what was possible in telling a story through clothing.

This T shirt is our most humble tribute to the man deemed L’enfant Terrible who has challenged and inspired so many. Proceeds from each t-shirt sold will be donated to the Kristen Brooks Hope center and their national HOPE Hotline 1-800-Suicide.

The Impossible Project Possible – Revive Polaroid

TIP PX Film

TIP PX Film

I’ve been waiting for this day for about 2 years! The Impossible Project had its worldwide press conference yesterday in NYC. Its a long long story so go check out their website. They’ve got an awesome little video posted on how it all went down.

I don’t have to hoard all my polaroid film now! And I’d suggest that you pick up an SX-70 camera from ebay ASAP then order up some film starting March 25th! Boom. Happy tears are flowing around the world.

bryce - So, should I get an SX-70 now? That’s sweet that the film is back.

jarrod - yeah dude, prices for them skyrocketed though. they’ll come down over the next few months though, just keep an eye out for a cheap BUY IT NOW on ebay, run searches for recently added auctions.

Jason - Have you used this film yet? I have a friend who bought and shot a few packs and says it’s very sensitive to heat! Vampire film, that’s what he called it….
I’ve been waiting to see other results before making the jump though.

jarrod - Jason… Lou Bedlam? I saw that he called it that. Definately spot on. Its finicky:)

Luis - evviva!!!! I cant wait use it!

Alright, here we go.

This blog started a while back and was taken down and transfered hosts and I’ve been out of a computer for a few months now waiting for APPLE to release their new Macbook Pros with the I5 or I7 chipset. Excuses for me not to get this going. Frustrating but also part of the whole process. It mirrors my life for sure. I’ve been floating around and have come to realize this year that my 20’s will end this December and it kind of got me both depressed a little and really motivated.

So, I’ll be posting from my iPhone most likely for a bit till I pick up a computer but anyways. I feel like I am in the midst of a major transition. I’ve been working for DPA Microphones for 3 years this July and it’s served its purpose, making money in a stable environment. Its become a safe haven of false stability for me and Im more and more growing into the artist that I really am and need to show it, to give what I’ve got, not to some machine but to people. I’m finally acknowledging my uniqueness and fact that I do have something legit to give to this world. AND you do to!! So, this transition Im talking about will hopefully get me freelancing full time soon or who knows, just as long as its mad creative.

With this blog, I’ve been really stuck in trying to figure out what this will be about and have used my ‘figuring it out’ as a crutch to not actually doing anything. Thats ending. I’m gonna figure it out and change this thing as we go.

Im gonna just post stuff. Hopefully cool stuff. I hope all that read this will enter in to discussion and collaboration and just plain spreading ideas and the love!

And another little diddle is that Im working on a portfolio site finally, which is a project in itself to organize and build without a computer of my own, so I’ll post a link from this blog to it soon but for those who read this post you can link to it here.

peace.

bryce - That’s nuts you don’t have a computer right now. And I should have read this before I went to Colorado.
