Bonnie and The Clydes – Band Photography

Heres a snappy little group shoot. Shot with a Canon 7d Rental from Pro Photo Rental. Bonnie and The Clydes. This was a very last minute thrown together “my first time in a photo studio” shoot. Shot this at a friends studio, it was super fun and my very limited view of photography just opened up a TON! Can’t wait for more studio sessions. I love big lights. Seriously though.

Colorado Senior Portrait Session

So…. let me preface this a bit. This is the first time I shot with an SLR that wasn’t a Polaroid from the ’70′s. I rented a Canon 5D Mark II and a couple Speedlites on a friday evening and frantically learned how to use it before the next day. You see I signed up to do a senior portrait without ever doing one before and without ever shooting digital. Overall I’m stoked about the results. I feel like I just stepped on the tip of an iceberg. I learned a lot about what I want to do next time and also that shooting in freezing temperatures hurts the hands:) Also, first time editing photos, never thought I’d ever ‘edit’ photos, I’m so used to it just being there on film as it was and thats it, which by the way I snapped my fingers and shook my head because I forgot my Polaroid cameras at home on the shoot, bummer:) –Check out the post for a handful of pics!
